eGain Finland Oy has signed contracts to install eGain forecasting™ in the buildings of Kunta-asunnot Oy – concern in Rovaniemi. These contracts are totaling for 31,777 m2 in Rovaniemi – Santa’s hometown. The decision was based on thorough testing and evaluation over the past year that has demonstrated savings of 18 kWh/m2.

Rovaniemi is Santa’s hometown, the capital of Finnish Lapland, and is situated on the Arctic Circle. You can meet Santa every day of the year here. This far north you have eight seasons (Christmas, Frosty Winter, Crusty Snow, Departure of Ice, Midnight Sun, Harvest Season, Colourful Autumn, First Snow ) everyone of which is different in terms of light, heat, and natural phenomena.

KAS has spent a year testing the eGain forecasting™ service in 90 of its properties and the actual savings were similar to those promised by eGain as they totaled 18 kWh/m2. Consequently, the excellent performance in these properties has formed the basis for a major investment in eGain forecasting™ and install eGain forecasting™ in 17 properties in Rovaniemi – Santa’s hometown.

With the installation of eGain forecasting™ residents of Rovaniemi will now be able to control their heating in a smarter way, save a lot of energy, enjoy a uniform indoor climate and contribute to a better environment by reducing emissions of carbon dioxide.
